Cookie Policy.

Effective 26 July 2026 · AFSA FZE · United Arab Emirates

A complete list of what afsa.ae stores in your browser and why. We currently set no advertising or analytics cookies at all — everything below is needed to run the site or to remember a choice you made.

01. What This Covers

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We also use localStorage, which works similarly but is never sent to our servers. Where any of this counts as personal data, it is processed under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and our Privacy Policy applies.

02. Cookies We Set

CookieWhat it doesTypeLasts

userRole, role_main, role_calc, role_income, user-roleRecords which parts of the platform your account may open, so the right dashboard loads without an extra round trip.Strictly necessaryUp to 7 days

sidebar_stateRemembers whether you collapsed the dashboard sidebar.Preference7 days

03. Browser Storage We Use

  • theme: Remembers your light or dark mode choice.
  • afsa_footer_collapsed: Remembers whether you collapsed the site footer.

Firebase, our authentication and database provider, also stores keys in your browser to keep your session valid. These are strictly necessary for signing in.

04. Advertising and Analytics

We do not currently run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any third-party tracker on this site, and we do not sell or share browsing data with advertisers.

If that changes, we will ask for your consent before any non-essential cookie is placed, and give you a way to withdraw it as easily as you gave it. Under the PDPL, consent must be freely given and specific — so analytics will never be switched on silently and this page will be updated first.

05. Controlling Cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings — usually under Privacy or Site Settings. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies in section 02 will stop you signing in and will break checkout, because the site cannot tell one request from another without them.

Preference cookies are safe to clear: the site simply reverts to its default language and layout the next time you visit.

06. Questions

Ask our Data Protection Officer at privacy@afsa.ae. If you are not satisfied with our answer you may complain to the UAE Data Office.
