What is an ultra-fast EV charger?
An ultra-fast EV charger is a Direct Current (DC) charging station capable of delivering extremely high power outputs (typically 120kW to 320kW or more). Unlike standard AC chargers that take hours, ultra-fast chargers can replenish most compatible electric vehicles to 80% battery capacity in 15 to 30 minutes, making them essential for highway corridors and quick-turnaround fleets.
